Cameron Highland: Steamboat @ Restoran Highlands
Sep 2nd
The chilling weather made us want to have something that can keep us warm. Steamboat dinner was the best choice! Steamboat here wasn’t eat-all-you-can, it came with a fixed portion. The price at Restoran Highlands was RM16++/person.

Waiting is always the most painful moment, especially steamboat, still need to wait the soup to boil. I’m hungry!
Phat Heineken
Jul 1st

A convenient store was just right next to our hotel. 7 days in Taiwan, I had been loitering there daily to check out interesting snacks and drinks. I also noticed that Taiwan carbonated soft drinks are more gas than ours.
Found this 750ml Heineken fat edition is cute, just make me want to drink beer more. Why don’t we have this in Singapore too?
JB Meetup: T.G.I Friday’s
Jun 26th
It’s Friday! I had dinner with my buddies. We shifted our base to JB this time. It is always more value-worth to dine in Malaysia. We were having dinner at Johor Bahru’s T.G.I Friday’s. It is located at Wisma Jotic opened since 1997.

TGIF JB consider an old western restaurant. From what I know, there isn’t many decent places to enjoy western meal in JB. TGIF is one of the places not to be missed, if you are looking for one.

I have been flipping through the menu from front to rear a few times, not sure whether I was over starving or what, just too many options for me! Especially when the price is in Ringgit! Everything just looks “2.35 times” delicious!
ShiDa Night Market 师大夜市: Bull Demon King 牛魔王牛排館
Jun 22nd
The trip to Taiwan, night market is definitely not to be missed. On the very first day, we’ve already visited Taipei Shi Lin Night Market(士林夜市), but unfortunately I didn’t bring my camera along.
On our 3rd day, we visited another famous night market in Taipei – ShiDa Night Market(师大夜市). An obvious differences here was that there were more young people hanging around in this night market. The night market is just located next to the NTNU (师范大学). I assume there should be a lot school hostels nearby and this night market is the best place where students from NTNU hanging around.
Friday Meetup: Chili’s Grill & Bar @ Tanglin Mall
Jun 19th
It becomes quite usual for my friends and I to meet up for a good Friday dinner. Especially we can exchange our miserable working life stories. Besides that, this restaurant has the World Cup matches broadcasted live.
Wow, today German vs Serbia will be the first World Cup 2010 match I ever seen. I have lost count how many seasons I have not caught up with EPL.

This was my first visit Chili’s. The restaurant is located at Tanglin Mall. To me, Tanglin Mall doesn’t sound to be a crowded place, however this restaurant is an exception. It was roughly after 6:30pm, there was never an empty table.
Must Eat: Taipei Shin Yeh Restaurant 欣叶台湾料理酒楼
Jun 9th

I was told that being in Taiwan, the local dish at Shin Yeh(欣叶) Restaurant is a place we shouldn’t be missed. After the first day of the Computex 2010, we came over to the original Shin Yeh restaurant.
Sun Hong Bak Tuk Teh @ Medan Imbi
May 22nd
I was told that the best bak tuk teh in KL city area is Sun Hong Muk Koot Teh (新峰肉骨茶)@Medan Imbi. If not, I would have to go down to Klang. The shop is located behind the main road, but area was quite dark at night. We just went down to find the place with our instinct. And bingo! We found it in the first try.
The restaurant was quite spacious, I guess they have at least 30 tables. After our order was taken, very fast our dinner was served.

Phuket 1st Day Morning
May 8th
We reached Phuket the night before, it was around 12am we then reached the hotel. It was so late that all the stalls were closed, we ended up having McDonalds as our supper. This is my 3rd time to Thailand but also my first time to Phuket.

As usual, the hotel beds are messy in the morning.
Noodle Station @Mid Valley Megamall
Apr 28th

Over at Mid Valley, we end up having our lunch at Noodle Station. This is my first time trying this restaurant, but also will be my last time. The fried kuey teow is tasteless, worse than normal hawker center.
Yong Peng Red Vinasse Chicken 永平五湖福州红糟鸡
Feb 16th
Before came down to Yong Peng to have our lunch, we initially planned to find the Flying Prata in Malacca. We have the address, we at the spot but we just couldn’t find mamak stall. So our 2nd choice was came down to Yong Peng. Came down to Yong Peng for the Red Vinasse Chicken wasn’t a bad idea at all, in fact the dish was superb.
This restaurant was so famous that my friends all know this place, except me. From the wall of celebrities photos with the owner, we could tell a lot Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong celebrities had visited this place.
